Aries- The Warrior

"It is not the strength of the body that counts, but the strength of the spirit."― J.R.R. Tolkien

A birth chart is made up of 12 astrological houses, and while there are different systems that divide the houses up in different ways, your birth chart is never without any of the signs, just like it’s never without any of the houses. This means you embody all 12 signs (energies/modalities) even if you do not have any planets in that sign. Understanding how any of thee 12 zodiac signs work alongside your Big Three (sun, moon and rising) can help you to make more sense of your chart as a whole.

The word 'Aries' means ram in Latin. The modern symbology around the ram originated around late Babylonian times. Due to being the sign initiated by the vernal equinox, Aries was called the 'Indicator of the Reborn Sun'. The ram happily, enthusiastically, and fearlessly jumps into action, often oblivious of any impending threats or danger. It is a driven, energetic, and headstrong creature. The ram symbolizes the vitality of spirit and one's natural drive, along with the courage to be assertive in one's quest for individualization. Because it learns by taking risks, the ram symbolizes the desire to be active, outgoing, and comfortable taking action alone.  Action can be expressed in many different ways; it can be constructive, creative, joyous, loving or triumphant; or it may be destructive, angry, brutal or violent. Fire can also be linked with insight and enlightenment with seeing what is and what needs to be done.
